How to care for your purchase

Materials

I work with sterling silver. I might throw in some brass or copper now and then, but you can be assured that all silver components are .925 sterling and fine silver unless otherwise noted.

The stones I use are purchased straight from the lapidarist or other trusted sellers. Everything is guaranteed genuine, to the best of my ability. The turquoise I use is almost always sourced from US mines and will be identified by name when possible.

Jump rings and ear wires and other components will always be soldered closed to prevent damage and loss.

Wear the heck out of it!

Sterling silver is a softer metal, and you can expect scratches, dings, and bends to appear over time, but that's okay! If you love it, wear it. Frequent wear does help lessen tarnish, a naturally occurring reaction when sterling silver is exposed to sulfur and moist air. You can also resist tarnish by storing in an air tight container when not being worn. To clean sterling silver, use a jewelry polishing cloth, taking care to avoid soft and porous stones.

I wear my solid silver pieces all day every day, even in the shower. I DON'T wear stones around moisture, however. Turquoise, opals, and all soft stones can change color and even permanently stain when exposed to moisture, oil, lotion, and perfume, so please take care to avoid repeat contact.
